People who claim that we can find “common ground” with the Left must not have much experience dealing with these people. There is literally no common ground whatsoever. We share no values, no beliefs, no principles. We may as well be species from two different planets.

Claiming no common ground is a great way to absolve yourself of the necessity of trying to find it. There is ton of common ground Americans agree on, but our pols ignore because they don't want to act, like our anger at Wall Street privatizing gain and socializing risk.
