I want the thing that looks and reads exactly like a book. With all the added functionality like "find me the bit where it talks about probability kinetics". Until then, not interested. Has to work off my normal (looking) spectacles too and correct for my strabismus.

How soon are we predicting this dystopia will occur? I need to know when to start looking for acreage and a bunker.

AR will always be a niche. Pretty much all the applications are boring or stupid games, hardly anyone will use it in their daily lives. The augmented possibilies sound better than the actual augmented realities. It is like 3D printing, sounds awesome, but the reality is boring.
