Most PhD programs teach students nothing about how to get book deals, do podcasts, give interviews, run a YouTube channel, use social media, or engage with the public in any way. As if getting cited by a hundred colleagues is worth more than reaching a million fellow citizens.

Sorry, Geoffrey, Speaking for myself, I was probably a bit too glib. Of course it's wonderful when super-geniuses can also communicate to the masses. I'm just saying, that, if I had to choose where they put their effort, I'd rather it went to the science first.

Besides, it's nice to leave the 145 IQ folks something to do. Translating between 160 and 120 is a good niche for them.
