What advice seems obviously right, is relatively easy to follow, and is usually ignored?

NOT relatively easy for females, unless you happen to be shaped like the "fit model" Very expensive and time-consuming proposition to find things that fit, and then if you gain or lose 5 lbs, you're back to square one and out however many $100s you spend on the last round...

Granted, the failure of the women's clothing industry to use standardized sizing must be infuriating. It's a weird market failure.
