Wouldn't have guessed the big difference between cars and buses. Has anyone parsed how much of that is because buses are physically safer for their occupants and how much of it is because buses are driven by professionals with more training than most car drivers?

I'd guess two reasons. First, because there are more passengers per bus and then per car, so if accidents happen every X miles, you have exponentially more passenger miles for that same driving period. And 2nd, because buses are huge, so people more likely to survive accidents
