The prefix eu- comes from Greek and indicates something positive, so 'negative eugenics' seems like an oxymoron to me

As far as I know, negative eugenics is about discouraging/eliminating organisms with less preferable traits/genes. Positive eugenics is about promoting organisms with preferable traits/genes.

Eugenics can be positive or negative even within the natural eugenics. What frustrastes me is the argument that some eugenics are bad just because seems weird. Like my take that we should clone ourselves to make everything easier (except antibiotics)

Maybe that means there are other factors we are unaware of yet, since the borders of our definitions seem to be fading, as the nation becomes more polarized. Maybe an honest consensus could be reached if people were taught how to take part in dialectical conversations.

Imagine having your niche of knowledge and then bragging online when most people don’t share it. Good job.
