Not at all. That would imply coercion. Inevitably. Since there are people that own land close to a border, and they may not want to open their property.

Even if some libertarians hold this 'property rights' view of borders (and I'm struggling to understand what could justify that from a libertarian perspective), surely a strong majority favor open borders or at least pretty significant immigration. Or am I really out of touch?

Libertarians in d'avoir of strong immigration restrictions are usually simply not libertarians. They're just fiscal conservatives. The worst being using Milton Friedman to defend this point while his point on welfare and immigration is a case against welfare, not immigration
