Whenever someone mentions The Dark Knight, I can only think about how the ending poses a dilemma in which the citizens of Gotham do the Kantian thing and get utilitarian results. The Batman ex-machina turns the trolley off the tracks.
No plausible way the citizens solve that collective-action prisoner's dilemma by coordinating on that outcome. Not gonna happen.
