I highly recommend educational literature from circa 1895 to the present day, which has always been trying to create the future! There’s some relevant work on psychology of climate change (Clayton et al 2015, Gifford & Nilsson 2014). Would also suggest including something on construal level theory (e.g. Liberman & Trope 2008, T&L 2003).
