Whatever the motivation, good. Only scolds and would-be tyrants fear free speech.pic.twitter.com/v5jRDyjib4

Fighting platform censorship with government regulation, what could go wrong?
-
Platforms can censor whatever they want. It seems hypocritical for Republicans to be screaming "bake my cake" at a private company, all things considered

I think this has little/nothing to do with free speech and that the Trump administration would censor speech they dislike in a heartbeat. Great issue to focus on though because the authoritarian left are so overtly anti-speech. It's essentially just virtue signaling.

Exactly. The last person who can lecture anyone about the 1A or free speech is Mr. Enemy of the People here.

I think it makes sense. Social media platforms are such a global phenomena that is all about information and the exchange of ideas. They should be protected.
-
Hmm. Maybe—but mostly they seem to be about getting eyeballs in front of ads.....thus certain “info” is algorithmically pushed ahead of other types....none of the speech truly is “free” when it is in this type of environment.
