People who, like me, haven't watched any Game of Thrones. What's your current impression of what's going on with that?
It's awesome from start to finish, but the fans love to gripe about this last season, bc nothing could possibly match their expectations about the finale.

It's blipped in the last 2 seasons but still deeply satisfying television. Also, these episodes are the end - it's like the first year-long Potter films compared with the last that takes place over a few days. They can't work in the same way.

Not a huge fan of the last season (though I LOVED episode 5), but I've been griping ever since season 6, when the (post-book) dialogue really started to, IMO, go in the toilet.
