This is false. When I was in grad school for philosophy, my office was next to a philosopher science who specializes in quantum physics, and physicists were constantly stopping by to discuss the implications of their work.
I've met a few physicists who talked philosophy of science, but it didn't seem to influence their research or theorizing at all. Just idle chatter.

They would literally discuss how to structure experiments, how to build quantum computers, etc. Other of my philosophy profs had joint appts in linguistics, cog sci, computer science, and published in physics, math, neuroscience journals, etc.
