This is pure evil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=78&v=9PLKVNBcF3s … Produced by a major supermarket chain my German wife Jennifer tells me is getting major pushback from people now boycotting it. You’ll see why in this bigoted hateful anti-male anti-father commercial. Who hates men this much?

This is more of what we've seen in popular culture for decades. The buffoon, incompetent dad vs super mom is a sitcom staple. Can't make fun of inept women and praise competent men because that would be misogyny. See for yourself, count competent dads in sitcoms.

So true - and let’s face it no one benefits from that idea of the wife who is perfect and smart and still fits in her high school jeans married to the buffoon who let himself go and can’t do the simplest thing without her. nightmare.

If this convinces anyone to not have children I think that it has done that man and the uncreated children a great service
-
Yes, if it was the only jab. Now imagine a child growing up with tons of these veiled smears, every commercial impacting its not fully formed consciousness... It moves some in the end, and I wonder if we can say they gave informed consent?

Thats sexist but honestly, i don't feel anything after watching it but this can't change a thing about how i think of myself or how i would try my best to raise children to be the best people they can be, & i think that young men should develop immunity to the anti-male narrative

It's IRONIC and almost everybody in Germany gets it.

The main point is: Yes, if the roles were reversed one should find it funny, too. Actually we should in general laugh more, especially in Germany, but everywhere else, too.

Yes, it would be funny if reversed & executed well. Like if a mom tried to play catch or tackle football with her son, and she didn’t do well. Wouldn’t that be harmless fun if well executed? It’s unfortunate that PC makes the latter unnacceptable, but why stoop to that level?
-
I agree with you that ideally we all should be able to laugh at this stuff. But the trajectory of the misogyny calls is getting too far out of hand IMO, and given the timing, a pushback is probably needed when appropriate.

I support the right of a private company to publish sexist rubbish, and that of customers to boycott it and make it pay where it hurts for their mistake.
