I don’t know, I get that’s a take on it, but really is it hateful? Seemed a bit more optimistic than that. We can take to the stars and learn to live with others in the wide old galaxy etc. Was anti military industrial complex for sure, but different from anti-human, no?
What aspects of humanity were celebrated in Avatar, beyond our willingness to become nonhuman?

That we want to learn and discover. We sent scientists to another planet after all. That we can work together to fight for protection of others than ourselves or our nearest kin or our ideals. Not too many species I can think of that do that, but happy to be corrected.
