In fact, a hint that it is a preserve moment is in Bret's tweet, because we don't yet know what's the right direction of change. So, Veni, vidi, vici, and we are at the "vidi" stage. It's a cycle, Bret.

Good point. It's both, but the change needed is not the change being demanded. Postmodernism/SJWism/the "mean green meme" (as Ken Wilber calls it) is an evolutionary dead end occurring at the end of a long run of decaying civilization. Seeds of next will be something else.

It's possible (I would argue likely) that it's both: In light of rapid, revolutionary changes to the way information is exchanged and processed, major CHANGES to policy/economy will be required in order to PRESERVE the core elements of the human experience that we value.

‘Perish’ is almost certainly an exaggeration. It’s more likely a ‘change/preserve or peril’ moment.

Maybe it’s having the wisdom to know what to preserve and what to change, or perish.
