Not all group identification is tribalism. People keep misusing the term. To feel a deep connection to a group that helps you grow, and in which you can help others grow, is a great thing! Tribalism specifically refers to a form of in-group love that leads to out-group hate.
Is there a strengthened marriage that doesn't make a couple hate other couples? This whole in-group/out-group theory is toxic.

Yes. But I tend to think the bond that strengthens changes out group feeling more as it scales numerically.
