Not all group identification is tribalism. People keep misusing the term. To feel a deep connection to a group that helps you grow, and in which you can help others grow, is a great thing! Tribalism specifically refers to a form of in-group love that leads to out-group hate.

You don't think most manifestations of nationalism around the world involve out-group hate?
No. I really don't. Australia Day for instance seems entirely patriotic and unhateful. You see this many places.

Nationalism might mean “patriotism” to reasonable folks and naziism to SJWs. Really depends on what you mean when you say nationalism these days. Plenty of 1st gen Americans, minorities, etc that are highly patriotic and proud to be american. Are they nationalists?
