Most older guys I know followed this pattern: - Married young - Kids - 10 yr marriage from hell - Divorce - Relative happiness being older & single Great news is, YOU can just skip to the last point without doing the other stuff!
Um, I think if you skip the 'having kids' part, your lineage goes extinct.

I think one of the reasons a lot of people get divorced now who marry young and have kids is people see all the options they are missing maybe in terms of different marital partners, or they get married too early and it leads to a feeling of an unfulfilled marriage.
