I'm a tenured professor who's worked at the same university since 2001. Adjusted for inflation, I make less than when I was hired. True for many faculty. The tripled tuition fees have not trickled down to the salaries of people who actually teach.

The "safe space" trend has nothing to do with protecting students (which of course it does not, it makes them weak). Instead, it's to make college easy and resort-like, so the students stay and keep spending. "Administrators" are people whose main charge is to succor the suckers

While some added costs are from "administration," many involve the following: technology (more integrated/costly than in 2001), student support services, multicultural centers, diversity offices, etc. Students demand, universities provide, and once it starts, it doesn't stop.

In corporate, most have to switch companies to get a significant pay bump. Wouldn't be surprised if that also carries over to academia, but not sure.

Of course not. There's all sorts of new administrators that need paid and the offices of student safe space management. Universities aren't about education, silly, they're about ideological propagation and coddling students while luring them into debt.
