Explain please? I'm normally the guy yelling at my tv over movie battle tactics but I wasn't bothered at all. The way I see it is the dead negate tactics that would normally be used. Can't really outflank, choke points can work for a while but they eventually overwhelm

I demur. A perpetual state of last minute interventions killed any sense of dramatic tension. The final death of (spoiler here) was so heavily foreshadowed in the build up with; musical tonal change, knowing glances all over the place, too much slow mo, it ruined any real drama.

For real, that moment where Jon was walking through the courtyard watching everyone fight the dead... it was like a museum exhibit on plot armor. Tully just lying in a pile of corpses stabbing more corpses, it was a fucking joke.
