Gun Control Question. Q: Is it unethical to prohibit folks from carrying a firearm if they wish to pray with family in 2019 in a house of worship?

So bringing guns into church falls under 'private religious norms'?
-
It falls under the same rules as all, you choose, not the gov't.

This becomes de facto open carry. E.g., a fellow army reservist years ago lived in a town where they were allowed to carry if they were heading to the firing range. So someone opened a 24/7 firing range.

So what's the problem with civilized citizens carrying guns? The fact you can't just look at a person and assume that person is a threat to society? I'm starting to think those who push for gun control laws are racist...

Giving religious ideological bodies freedom to set their own rules in civil society is what got us into the problem to begin with
-
No, it's not. The bitter anger, envy, and jealousy of people who attack worshippers is not the result of the freedom of religious practice. The inability to allow others to live by their own rules is, perhaps, related.

As a Swede I guess I shall start insisting on carrying a set of hatchets and a TEC-9 as cultural symbols.
