I was happy going immediately I wish hs ended younger and college was longer. Tbh college was about fun & freedom. I wish I studied abroad.

As someone who was forced to take time of from college for health/financial reasons, I'm pursuing a career I am more suited for because I entered school at 25. I think many (but not all!) students could benefit from developing as a human before deciding on a career path.

Go live some life first! Get shitty jobs! get a std scare. date some complicated people.. move! don’t get married! join and exit a cult... & only then... do you look at college & a major. Otherwise you end up with a BFA in underwater theatre and 120k in student loans.

Went immediately. But damn should I have waited. Wasted 24k that I'm STILL paying. Took me awhile to mature enough to understand what the difference between HS and University would be.

I think we need to to reform middle/high school. Sounds more productive long term. Sad to see 18 year olds lacking any ability to navigate. Like crossing the street.

None. Go in immediately after high school graduation, have college be year round. No long summer break. Graduate in 3 years. All or nothing.

For the parents supporting them during the gap, or, for the students?
