Which Americans are more patriotic, on average -- those on the Right or the Left?

Conservatives are far more likely to “virtue signal” their patriotism. That doesn’t mean liberals don’t have love for their country, which is what patriotism is. Liberals may be critical of the country, but that is a patriotic duty.
How do Leftists express love of America, beyond criticizing it? Genuinely curious.

Is patriotism expressing love or feeling it? I would say the latter. My experience is that liberals are thankful for the freedoms that we have, especially freedom of expression, and tend to be concern d about expanding access to these freedoms. I consider this patriotism.

American patriotism is defending the values expressed in our founding documents and their amendments, including 14, and calling out those on both the left and right who seek to undermine those values. This occurs on both ends of the spectrum.

There seems to be one group in the US that credulously believes that we are always the good guys and fight the bad guys. Black vs white. Another that looks at our track record on a whole and has mixed feelings. Gray and nuanced.
