'Eco-concern' is likely polygenic, and the trait almost certainly maps on to other adaptations. It would take many, many generations to end up with a world of no eco-concerned people.

Nope. Degree of polygenicity is irrelevant. Response to selection is simply additive heritability times selection pressure.

This has nothing to do with eco-concern. Their thesis is that man is evil and should not be perpetuated. They alone stand above, shrouded in moral purity that the rest of their species lacks, and so they embrace a culture of death, as only death is willing to indulge them.
