I want/try to love these kids. I want to help find them meaningful constructive purpose, homes of their own with families and futures. I know they are shaming me and all of us on social media because they are feeling ashamed of themselves. I want to talk about why and heal this.
Traditional civilization: young people work hard to get the approval of their elders. 21st century 'Woke Society': young people show total contempt for their elders, and elders work in vain to get the approval of the young.
It sounds like yourself and Eric are in a bubble of nothing but self-entitled rich kids—a small anecdotal sample. I would suggest that the youngest of Millennials and oldest of GenZ are struggling to get by and figure it out, as modern Western civilization collapses around them.

There is an Ethiopian saying to know 80 years of wisdom don’t wait till you are 80 visit an 80 year old man. Too bad today’s woke society will not gain off elderly wisdom. 
It reminds me of when there was the generational fight in the late 1960s. Hippies flipping over tables to free up society a bit. There is loss of respect for older ppl when a group or society is facing a significant change. I've seen it with first gen kids vs. immigrant parents.
Which leads to a heavy flow of misinformation.
There is an anger that fills people who have little reverence for people or ideas from the past. They’ve lost their place in the narrative and defensively float further into no-man’s-land.
The New Left have been running sociology departments. The New Left identified with Maoist China & the Cultural Revolution. Even the Old Left admired parts of the USSR, where children were schooled to inform on their parents, e.g., by Peter & the Wolf's reactionary grandfather.
