Not sure how recording professors has a chilling effect - if the point of professors is to not only portray knowledge to students but also give insightful comments and display experience, I don't see how professors who are subject to recording would feel threatened by that.
Then you don't understand how the academy has been ideologically captured by woke virtue-signalers, and how dangerous it is to challenge their hegemony.

I would argue that most of the woke SJWs who challenge professors are in class or that they target professors for being part of a perceived institution as a whole, not particular behavior or lessons in class. (except maybe class lessons on class ;) )

Peterson or Weinstein's recorded lectures are not run in context as ammunition to attack them with - either out of context clips or a perceived image of them being something they are not are used instead.
