I've very seriously wondered why this doesn't happen. Not political cuts though, more like wrt what people like in movies (action, exposition, emotions etc.).

It may be that the pretense of a singular mass shared experience is required for mass appeal (similar to how big fights draw in even non-fight fans) and even for pandering to work; make the pandering too obvious and the spell loses its hold.

I think the trad crowd would be ok with this. No degeneracy in their own space. The woke crowd? I don't think so. Being woke includes being obnoxious about that in front of the non-woke + demanding that others become woke as well.
