Ellsberg released historical material, withheld material that would have undermined the Paris peace talks, and was charged unsuccessfully under the Espionage Act.

The point is, in this case, WikiLeaks, it's editor Julian Assange, is being pursued & persecuted by govt authorities for publishing the release of sensative, but public interest information. Wapo's publisher was NOT arresteed for Pentagon Papers release. That's the hypocrocy.

I don't mind investigating a rape charge but imo he did nothing wrong by releasing information. This whole idea that govt is allowed to lie to citizens in an effort to protect us reeks of a parental relationship. The govt isnt a parent and shouldn't be trusted like a good one
