      If I understand correctly, they have ethical objections to humans killing 100 billion land animals and 1 trillion fish a year for food. But, granted, there are more effective ways to change hearts and minds.

      If your blockage of traffic is potentially preventing people (or animals!) in emergency situations from getting to a hospital, it is not a “peaceful protest.”

          When there were protests in St. Louis post-Ferguson, a friend who is a pediatric nurse posted on Facebook begging for activists to stop blocking roads because she and her colleagues were dealing with patients delayed en route to the hospital. It’s no joke.
