Simple idea to make Twitter better... Anonymous accounts are fine because having non-conformist thought subjects you to the mob. Once you get 5k followers you can no longer be anonymous. Many journalists are using anonymous accounts as proxies to do their dirty work. Thoughts?
And yet, I want to live in a world where a brilliant, anonymous, heterodox thinker could potentially build a million followers and yet remain utterly enigmatic. Just seems kinda cool.

Yea, I think about that too. It’s more about neutering the really bad actors. A handful of accounts I consistently see “journalists” linking to that are either themselves or their friends. Not an easy problem to solve!

This may be a case of it being worth weathering a few bad actors for a greater good. The Federalist Papers were published anonymously -- it's getting easier to imagine a need for that type of 'thought protection' again.
