I've read Bostrom's work on existential risk and AGI, but I didn't know he'd done work on effective altruism. Definitely going to have to track that down.

The overview is strikingly similar to your tweets in general. You get paid to teach young people how to (1) be moral and (2) talk about things you’d probably otherwise be talking about anyway. This seems to be a highly self-actualizing way to live one’s life
