The debate over abstinence education vs safe sex education is bizarre. None of the above is the best option. We don't need public school teachers talking to kids about their sex lives. Just teach the basic scientific realities of human reproduction and leave it there.
I've taught human sexuality at a large state university for over 20 years. Problem is, most K-12 teachers don't know enough about biological basics of sex to teach them accurately. I spend a lot of time debunking their misinformation. We need more #schoolchoice

The idea that the hormonal Pill is the most reliable contraceptive with the fewest side effects is probably the most common and harmful misconception. The IUD is much better.

Not opposed to more school choice but I’d hazard that with more school choice more students overall would have less useful instruction wrt the biology of human sex and reproduction.
