I don't see how a 1 degree C increase counts as 'dramatic', given the geological record, but then, I'm worried about things that are actually existential risks.

Not an immediate one. But in 2186 (another 168 years), it’ll have increased 64 degrees F. It’s an X risk of the future that we ought to take the rough first steps to combat so that our children won’t have to. I don’t know that the Green New Deal is the solution though.

Yeah but warmer temps lead to more and stronger storms, in one example. And more flooding on coasts and further inland, for another. So it is becoming existential to millions in the developed world who previously thought they didn’t have to worry about it.
