The cost of raising a child is an estimated $233,610, excluding college tuition, according to a 2018 estimate from the Department of Agriculture. If you don't want to have kids, don't. But, me? If the cost was $1.2M, I still have at least two. I love being a father.

I'll second this recommendation. Tho, in complete transparency, I didn't read it. My wife did. She gave me the Cliff's Notes version as she read it.

I spent $2000 a year for my sons HS basketball as well as bought tickets to all the game for the whole family. So about $3000 a year for one kid for one activity. All worth it when he blocked the game winning shot.
