Among college grads who get married after age 24 or so, I think the divorce rate is now actually down to around 20%, IIRB. The 50% is wildly inflated by low-educated people who marry very young and then split before kids. Starter marriages.

It is mostly inflated by individuals who divorce and remarry multiple times. The rate of divorce for *first* marriages is much lower than second, third, etc.

Hummmm.... I got married prior to graduating college and turning 24 nor was my wife above 24 nor had she graduated college and then we divorced. (no kids) I graduated college and remarried at age 27 to a college grad have been married now for 17 plus years with one child.
