PS. This subscription was a gift from my 81-year-old father. We like to share reactions to Economist stories when we talk on the phone. Our of respect for him, I wouldn't cancel lightly.

I had a subscription for several years, but noticed a slow drift leftward over the last few years before I finally didn’t renew. Same thing happened to my favorite *by far* science mag, New Scientist. Consumed it weekly for more than a decade before it went down hill rapidly
