PS. This subscription was a gift from my 81-year-old father. We like to share reactions to Economist stories when we talk on the phone. Our of respect for him, I wouldn't cancel lightly.

How can you not have cancelled already? The Economist has not lived up to its reputation for years.

It’s beyond bias. Everyone who isn’t leftist is part of the alt-right? They left wins zero/zero with their forced identitarianism.

I cancelled my subscription to The Economist many years ago. It's merely snarky, progressive analysis, broadcast as high-brow intellectualism, with a dash of old school British wit thrown in. I stick with reruns of "Yes, Prime Minister." for an occasional helping of the latter.

The Economist >> Exor >> Giovanni Agnelli's asset management company (53%) >> Giovanni is long dead. Good luck ever finding anyone in big corporate money that is actually in charge, and the low-level employees (journos) have limited autonomy. It's a borg-like machine.

My husband cancelled his last week after a gun owner hit piece. The Economist isn’t what it used to be.
