What percentage of studies linking candidate genes to behavioral traits, clinical/psychological diagnoses and brain function (e.g., fmri) do you think are false positives (FP) or overestimate the true ES by orders of magnitude?

Many / most people I know don't take them seriously because GWAS suggests that most individual genetic effects are (very) small. But papers on the topic are still being published, so I was interested in people's opinions.

Aren't there only 24000 genes in a human? How could each trait depend on thousands?
