The most disturbing sentence I’ve ever read: “With no federal standards for the topic in place, teachers are left to their own devices for creating or finding social justice lesson plans.”

And people wonder why more parents are opting for private schooling when public teachers are pushing these narratives.

Thanks for sharing this just as an example I can point to. As a homeschooling parent, I can’t imagine prioritizing this stuff over something like... The Golden Rule? “If you don’t have anything nice to say...” etc. History matters, yes. Free thinking does too.

There needs to be a watchword that calls out when societal factors are used to explain individual outcomes to the exclusion of other environmental and all genetic factors. Social-determinism? Socioculural-? Hostia-? Something more clear and focused that doesn't suck.
