We now live in an age where "expert" has grown to mean something bad. Instead of complaining, experts should be smart enough to recognize why that is and adjust accordingly.

I am open to being swayed back, but I have to say I find Taleb's evidence pretty convincing. Despite his many personal shortcomings, having a math background the data shows pretty strong non-correlation
-
Many of the scat plots that show non correlation show selection bias: that is, they plot relationship after selecting for a trait in 1 var.

Taleb strikes me as largely out for himself--knowledge, correctness, any other ideal comes a distant second. I think he sees his feuding with you guys as an authenticity signal. Harris or Peterson fanboys get a lot of hate, but for me, nothing's more cringy than Taleb's yes men.
