I'm a professor, and I support this. I've been arguing for a couple of years that we need it. Public universities are arms of the state that must comply with the First Amendment. Many don't, and they won't change just through wishful thinking.

As a professor, you should know that freedom of speech means you can't be arrested or prosecuted for what you say. It doesn't mean anyone has to listen to or respect anything you say. You never did say what you were a professor of. Phys Ed?
