      As someone who was very good at standardized tests growing up I think they are a terrible measurement of anything other than whether you are good at the test. Certainly have nothing to do with human worth, character or virtue.

      I've worked in IQ research for 20 years, and no serious researcher would claim these tests measure character or virtue -- they weren't designed to. But they are good predictors of learning ability, job performance, career success, etc. See the short book by @StuartJRitchie ...

          IQ has nothing to do with career success, job performance, or wealth capacity etc. There is no statistical relationship that suggests that for the data at the extremely low levels. @nntaleb can further chime on that if you want to be enlightened.
