Didn't someone say that "human culture has been dominated by males because human culture is mostly courtship effort, and all male mammals invest more energy in courtship"?

1/2 Watching the kavanaugh hearings I was struck by how in the absence of rule of law, unprovable allegations would likely lead to violence. The accusers kin attack the accused for vengeance, and his kin retaliating in turn. End result: many dead men and a weaker social group.

2/2 consider another social group which developed restrictive customs around female freedom. They would be less likely to be subject to those particular feud cycles, and could keep more males alive to hunt/fight etc. Just an idea, not advocating anything here.
