Make it UBI for every citizen regardless of age. Parents would have guardianship of their kids funds, for expenses, schooling, allowances, etc. Good pronatalist incentive.

I already see Haitian families with 5+ kids at my local supermarket, they're gonna love that - specially daddy, who can now stop working altogether and just focus on making more kids. free money, when has it ever gone wrong?

The prison incentive/disincentive
. Temporarily losing UBI while incarcerated is extra punishment, which should reduce crime rates AND sentences. Regaining UBI after rehabilitation should lower recividism. I agree we will, like it or not need a system to off set jobs. IMO just needs more study, more testing to minimise risks. Probably needs to be in place within 10/15/20 years as AI/automation removes workplaces. Also need to look at alternate work / environments to offset boredom

So guaranteed cash for kids? I'm not sure the "Great Society" has been all good; almost certainly necessary when it started, but I just don't see how perpetual welfare will do anything but create dependency. Life is hard. You must earn what you have to appreciate it.
