You seem to like
@AndrewYangVFA quite a bit. Aren't you concerned by his proposed "News and Information Ombudsman"? While he has some interesting ideas (and seems to be the only candidate so far who shows a long term vision for the country), this completely disqualifies him imo. -
That's very worrying. But I see Yang as someone who's smarter, less dogmatic, and more likely to change his mind given new information than most other politicians are. So I hope he'd be open to rethinking the very serious
#1A implications of his info-ombudsman policy. - 3 more replies

They should have a vision of what everyone will say in the next 15 minutes, to identify candidates with precognitive abilities.

100 years. We need to start thinking long term. We don't. That's causing a shitload of problems.

Anything over 20 seems impossible to forecast. Technology and political climates shift too much.

i don't want anyone in power to have a vision of what america should be like in any number of years. i want them to end the prohibition on sex and drugs today so society can become functional and each generation can decide what america should be.

4 years. Why would I want to hear candidates talk about what the country is going to be like when they're not in office?
-
Because policies enacted now can have downstream effects in the future?
