Since they’re bound by the First Amendment as public institutions, why not just bring lawsuits?
Well @TheFIREorg has been successfully suing dozens of universities for infringing free speech, but the costs of settling aren't enough to get them to comply with the constitution.

Doesn't this shift that burden in a potentially dangerous way? If the president can withdraw funding for this-or-that speaker-policy, then it is up to the university to sue the president. Doesn't that place too much power in the president's hands? Am I missing something? Probs
