Everyone who advocates funding 'health disparities' research rather than funding regenerative medicine research is implicitly making this argument.

Well, that's a bit of a stretch IMO. You can't really blame the majority of non-super-rich people for wanting to prioritize their present generation's health situation over potential immortality for later generations. Self-preservation instincts are understandably strong.

Why don't they care about the longevity of their kids and grandkids? Seems utterly, deeply, unethically bizarre and selfish to me.
