Whole lot better than destroying world economy would. Science shows very well that the US self-destructing isn't going to do anything more than drop temp something like .15% over a hundred years. In this case the science says GND is a Marxist grab for power, using children now.

Only from a regulatory stance. Nuclear is too heavily regulated thanks to greenies’ stupidity. Solar power has atrocious efficiency & isn’t suitable for widespread industrial power generation. Plus producing panels tends to be toxic.

Yes!! Nuclear power is necessary if we want to move off of oil, coal, etc (let's face it, solar is cool but not nearly enough) Even if you don't care about the climate or anything it'll also just be good for the US to be energy independent. I hope Trump can take the lead on this.
