Consider two types of handjob: jerking off to porn or a happy ending at a massage parlor. Porn re-wires the brain, is addictive, leads to more extreme forms, desensitizes to real women. A full-body massage from a consenting adult pairs nicely with yoga/gym and a green juice.

Porn is getting more dark and violent. I wouldn’t think it’d be trending that way if there wasn’t demand for it. I won’t comment on the other three points but (3) seems pretty plausible.

It's plausible according to the 'porn addiction' activists, but it's just not true, according to several studies such as this. In fact, porn is not getting more violent, and the vast majority of porn viewers do not like violent porn.https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00224499.2018.1451476?journalCode=hjsr20 …

Any behavior that powerfully stimulates the dopaminergic reward circuits rewires the brains and has the potential to be addictive in those predisposed. As a clinician, I prefer the term "problematic behaviors", and run into a lot of people who struggle:https://twitter.com/DrSepah/status/1095825508544040960 …

The biggest predictor of 'struggling with porn use' is not frequency of porn use, but religious shame about porn use. Every legit sex researcher understands this.
