It’s a shame he turned into such an #SJW wannabe. I had really enjoyed his books on evolutionary biology. I credit Dinosaur in a Haystack with my final straw piece of reading to identify atheist as a teen. I had never met another (open) atheist in real life, pre-Internet.

Academia sometimes produces nonsense on both sides of the spectrum, Left or Right. Let's not forget biased funded think tanks. There are well known public intellectuals who source think tanks that have ideological views to push on issues that are still up for debate.
